Something unexpected

So I've been sitting on this thought for awhile and I'm not sure why it is that I started thinking about it much more lately. So a couple months ago me and a friend went out on the town, yes Misha I'm talking about you, we started the night out at this Lil Podunk bar on the edge of town actually it was out of the city limits  so I was allowed to smoke in the bar lol. Any way i digress. So on this particular night there were several fresh graduates from Camp Grafton out on the town celebrating finishing training MP's I believe, well while out having a smoke and talking to one of the "employee's" at the establishment I began talking to one of the soldiers, and he asked me what I did for a living, I told him that I was an EMT fire fighter and after several smokes and a small attempt at getting me to enlist and sign on as an MP he did something unexpected. This soldier, who I'm pretty sure could bench press me, stuck his hand out shook mine told me it was nice to meet me and in an unexpected sentence, thanked me for what I do for a living. OK so it's not completely unheard of for a person to recognize a person who responded during their emergency and thank you for what you do, but for a soldier, someone who defends our country and is willing to take a bullet to defend your freedom to say thank you I don't know guess it was just kinda something nice. So for the soldier that did it, sorry I forgot your name, I say your welcome, and thank you for what you do. God Bless
